The Fall Of The House Of Pete

As I type this I realize that most of the people that used to read this blog have probably all but forgotten the better days of its existence. In fact, this was the first time that I even looked at this thing in like two months. I have had too much going on to give the blog any attention. Although the apex of this blog's popularity, success, etc. never reached the same level of admiration and readership of many of my friends blog's, things were (for a short time) kind of rolling. The big hit finally came near the end of Feb. or the beginning of March. That was about the time that I started exploring other job opportunities. Fearing that my internet exploits might somehow place a blemish on my otherwise perfect resume' I decided to scale back. As things picked up at work my blogging habits decreased. By the end of March I was facing a decision as to where I should take my future. April saw the release of the football staff at my old school, and I was chosen to run the program on an interim basis. Acting as a head coach for the last two months of school kept me busy as there were several issues to tend to. Again failing my faithful reader(s) -yea, not many people by that point- I moved on in life without bringing my blog friends with me.

The result is this final post. What began as a boring night at my house in Oxford will finally see its end from my new condo in Naples, FL. For those of you that do not know, and want to pretend to be interested, I have recently moved to Naples, where I have taken a job coaching football and teaching at a 5A High School. This place is amazing. I can get to the beach in less than ten minutes. I have palm trees outside my Lanai. The sun setting over the gulf is amazing. I even love my new job, which some of you know is a big change from my previous experience.

To those that may read this:
-Brad & Laura, Ab & Kristin, Paige & That Guy (sorry forgot), and any other couples that are finding there way into marriage, I wish you all the best.
-To some a certain group of friends: good luck on your professional test, hurry up and get jobs b/c I'm gonna need to borrow money.
-To those that have free time: come visit.
-To the rest of you: thanks.

Oh, and leave a comment.

Wanna See Roach DDR?

The radio show that I sometimes listen too on the way to work has been flooding gossip sites all day today. Last week K-Fed was in house for an interview when the shows host Kidd Craddock challenged Brittany's Baby Daddy to a dance-off. TO me, not that big of a deal, but I watched it anyway and laughed my head off. Kidd's DDR moves looked so familiar. They were ROACHES. Sure, Kidd lacks a little of the butt poking out look that Roach uses, but he has mastered the arms. Check out the link to see that Roach looks like playing DDR.

Spring Break Pics...finally

Finally, my computer allowed me to post our Spring Break pictures from Orange Beach.

The infamous "Tangy urinating on LSU flag" picture. In his defense, it was talking trash.

Pete, Tangy, and Kuss enjoying Champagne night.

This is Roach trying to put Tangy on the roof. Ignore where his head is.

Roach is the only one that didn'tsee that coming.

I Eat Lunch

I ate a bunch of boiled shrimp for lunch today. When I got done, I threw all the shells (is that what they're called?) in the kitchen trash. I really didn't feel like taking the trash out for a while, so I just sprayed a bunch of Febreeze in there. Does that make sense or is it just completely idiotic?

Spring Break Memories 1-3

will be continued at a later date. Until then, here is an update on my current whereabouts.

Fleeing the weather that was bearing down on Mississippi Thursday afternoon I pulled out of the KCHS parking lot and headed out on my trip. After picking up my brother in Meridian we were off. After a lengthy ride down hwy 45 and I-10 we finally arrived at our destination: CHRISTOPHER LAY MEMORIAL PARKWAY. We spent the night right in the middle of Tallahassee, Fl. After asking several strangers we determined that, despite what he says, Lay is not a legend on the FSU campus. Overall, I give the capital of Florida a 4 on a scale of ten.

We got up early Friday morning and hit the road again. This time we were headed for Orlando. Despite our urges to stop and eat at the Risque Cafe ("We bare all. Great Food. Great time. Truckers welcome!") outside of Gainesville we drove straight through. After spending the next four hours taking care of some business William and I finally headed to the hotel. This is my first time in Orlando. Sure, I had heard the stories, but nothing can prepare you for your first Orlando experience. Well, nothing except a trip to a U.N. summit. There are foreigners everywhere. Several different countries, several different languages, and (for those of you wondering) no confirmed foreign hotties. It is early now, but the rest of my day will be wasted away. We are planning on hitting universal studios this afternoon and sticking around for the big Mardi Gras party that they are having. I can't wait to see the headliner for the night: George Thorougood & The Destroyers!

Sunday we will be headed to Naples, Fl for some more relaxing. Monday morning I have more business to attend to. Monday afternoon we will try and conquer the clear waters of south Florida as we go deep see fishing. Tuesday we will boogy on back to Destin to meet up with some family and other friends. And finally, on Wednesday we are considering a stop in Orange Beach (assuming everyone has not left due to some massive misunderstanding between the new couple of Tammy and Steven). Until next time.......

*those of you that know me well should understand why business in italicized. If you don't, I'm sorry. I'm sure that the subject will be addressed fairly soon.

Spring Break Time

That's right, some of us still get a spring break. This year I will be accompanying Roach, MereMere, Russ, Kate, Tangy, and one of Meredith's friends to Orange Beach. We are leaving Saturday after the ethics test in Jackson.

Our fearless leader Pete and his brother William are taking a road trip to Florida, hopefully we'll get a post about it.

What's everyone else doing (besides working)?

News From The Weekend

The weekend in Oxford was fun. I would like to thank my gracious host for such a good time. There were certainly some memorable moments from my short trip (see my latest facebook quote). In the "News of the weird" I must note that at one point Saturday night the number of girls at Roaches house exceeded the number of guys. Once Oon recognized that the ratio was (for once) in our favor the crowd erupted in cheer. This was followed by the sudden fear that the apocalypse was near. Instead, most of the girls left.

I also was granted the pleasure of officially befriending the 99 Sr. G's. Good times, good times.

In other news, Brad Hillman is not the only person in the world that injures himself playing darts. Apparently Dutch officials are worried about the rise in injuries stemming from the sudden dart craze that is sweeping their country. (for some reason this won't link correctly).

More later....
